Post the next three numbers in the following pattern:
1
11
21
1211
111221
The person who gets it right gets to post the next pattern.

Is this right?

Not the way I learned it. Shall I post the next one in the sequence?
Someone at school knew the answer and he helped The Renegade solving it, I'll leave it up to him to post the next one (in case you didn't know, I'm in the same school as TR).
The next 3 numbers are:
312211
13112221
1113213211
All right, I hope it's not too easy
1
2
14
137
?
13730
149543
?
?
Fill in the missing numbers.
The numbers in order are:
1372, 1507677, 15089024
I'm sorry but I made a mistake: The 7th number is 1249543 and not 149543.
so the correct pattern is then:
1
2
14
137
?
13730
1249543
?
?
To patriot: 1 of your 3 numbers is correct (I'm not going to say which one). The 2 others aren't and that's probably because of my mistake.
Then, it has to be these numbers:
1372, 124830864, 12482962998
Am I correct?
That is correct.
You may post a new pattern.
Here's a tough one:
2 6 30 260 3130 ? ? ?
Solve for the three missing numbers.
I thought I got it, but it turned out that after three numbers my theory went wrong…
Should I give you guys a clue?
Okay, I'll try and do my best without giving away the answer.
The pattern does not depend on the last number. For example, a pattern like (1,4,7,10) skips by threes and succeeds the last number before it.
My pattern is formed by an equation such as y = 2x+1. This is how it would look on a table:
x | y |
---|---|
1 | 2 |
2 | 6 |
3 | 30 |
4 | 260 |
5 | 3130 |
6 | ? |
7 | ? |
8 | ? |
x = position of the number
y = value of the number
I hope you get a better understanding of the pattern.
No guesses? It has been five days now.
Is the equation y=x2+x?
Never mind I am dumb.
EDIT - Removed strike-through.
Hey, don't cross it out, you're almost there!
The problem with the equation is the 2…
You mean I have the exponent wrong?
I've got it 13322 37766 85640 168370 299630.
Sorry, but that was not what I was looking for.
But how did you get your solutions?
I placed {1,2,3,4,5} into L1 placed {2,6,30,260,3130} into L2 and ran a Quartreg on it.
Well, I will say that the equation is in the form of y=a^b+c and is close to the equation Socks crossed out.
Sorry for randomly budging in, but I can't resist math problems…
Here is the answer:
xx+x
The next numbers are 46662, 823550, and 16777224.
I got the answer after trying x2+x, then x3+x and noticed two numbers matched each time, then realized the exponent was variable.

Good job! Finally someone got it. :-)
You can post the next pattern.
Here is an easy one.
2,5,x,14,20,27,y
Find x and y
Also, try to tell me what this pattern represents…
